Website FAQ's

General

What can you test?
With our state-of-the-art laboratory and low-detection limit equipment, there are very few things that we cannot test. We regularly perform various tests for the following industries: Cannabis, Controlled Substances, Natural Health Products, Environmental, Foods & Veterinary products. If you don’t see it on our website, it doesn’t mean we can’t do it! Please contact us if you have any questions about our testing or research capabilities.
Who can submit samples?

Anyone can submit samples for testing provided that the samples are not a controlled substance as defined by Health Canada. Innovate Phytoceuticals Inc only accepts controlled substances for analytical testing and research from individuals or companies who hold a valid Controlled Drugs & Substances Dealer’s License.

Are you an accredited lab?

We are licensed to conduct testing, research and grow cannabis as well as research and produce products with controlled substances. We are operating as ISO 17025 & 90001 compliant while we await official accreditation (anticipated in April 2023).

See our licensing and accreditation page for more information.

Have your methods been validated? Can I have a copy of your validation methods?
The methods for our standard testing are validated and can be viewed here. Some sample types and tests require additional validation, which we can typically accommodate. If you think your sample type needs validation or if you would like for us to validate a new method for you, please contact us to discuss.
Why isn’t the test type I need available on your sample submission form?
We validate specific test types and matrices on an as-needed basis. If your test type or matrix is not listed on our form, please contact us to discuss!
How do I edit my order?
If you have submitted your order but would like to edit it, you may click on the link provided in the order confirmation email you received from us. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Do I need a license to buy products from you?
We only sell our products to companies or individuals who are legally permitted to possess them. For cannabis and controlled substances this typically means you would require a license to purchase them, although some exceptions do apply. If you are interested in purchasing cannabis or controlled substances from us, please contact us and our team will discuss licensing requirements with you.
